I began my research in tissue culture aspects during my undergraduate days at the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore. I developed an interest in detecting and understanding microbes; I then started as a Junior Research Fellow during my masters at the University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad, and worked on biodegradation. I worked as a Senior Research Fellow in an Indian Council of Agricultural Research funded project on development of microbial based biosensors for heavy metal detection. Presently, I am working towards my PhD in the world of viruses.
Research Interests:
I am interested in deciphering the world of soil viruses and understanding the functionality of viruses as a whole in the ambience. Presently, I am concentrating on the viral dynamics and diversity in the soils.
